Kolkata, June 6: In a remarkable crossover from machine intelligence to visual storytelling, Kolkata-born NRI and Artificial Intelligence expert Abhishek Sarkar has launched his debut solo photography exhibition at the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata. The week-long exhibition—running from June 6 to June 12 at South Gallery 2—features an extraordinary collection of low-light, long-exposure photographs, blending the power of technology with the soul of art.

Currently based in the USA and serving as an AI specialist at JP Morgan Chase, Sarkar presents not only his technical acumen but also an emotional sensitivity through his lens—capturing serene landscapes, intricate structures, and dynamic urban scenes.

The exhibition was officially inaugurated by renowned international photo artist Anupam Halder, who also serves as the Joint Commissioner of Revenue, Government of West Bengal. Praising the artistic depth of the works, Mr. Halder stated,

“It’s great to see such high-calibre photographic creations by Abhishek. As a fellow photo artist, it’s a pleasure to be part of this milestone in his journey.”

Abhishek was joined at the event by his proud parents, Mr. Abhijit Sarkar and Prof. Jayashree Mukherjee , marking a touching homecoming moment that celebrated both heritage and ambition.

Sarkar’s compositions reveal a sophisticated understanding of light, time, and mood. His long-exposure shots offer a meditative stillness rarely seen in today’s high-speed visual culture.
